Burton & Gina

My Mom and Dad (Gina and Burton)  met in an elevator at work in 1980. She was 19, he was 30. He asked her on a date and two weeks later they were engaged (soulmates). ? 37 years later and they are happily married. These are photos from their 37th annual anniversary beach trip they took last week. ??❤

My parents go on weekly date nights, every Friday. They adore each other, love aaand like one another. They depend on each other and take care of one another in the sweetest ways – makes the family smile.☺☺??

One night, a few months back when i was visiting- my mom sat down on the couch with a big sigh and said… “Oh, I just love your father!” ??❤ On Monday night before the morning of my moms cardiac arrest, my dad told me his last words to her were ‘without you, I have nothing’.

God has truly blessed our family with my sweet, dear, tough as nails, strong as brick, Jesus loving, God fearing, jump into action leader, mentor, our school teacher (she homechooled 4 kids!!!), living life to the fullest, tender, sensitive, pure-hearted, kind, loving Mother.  Our hearts are broken, but we can’t thank Him enough for the wonderful wife and mother and friend He gave us in our Gina.  <3 – Alyssa Wheelon
